Built between 1899 and 1902 for businessman and art collector Frederick Ayer, the Ayer Mansion is the only surviving residence created by American artist and designer, Louis Comfort Tiffany. Named a National Historic Landmark in 2005, the Ayer Mansion boasts Tiffany-designed stone and glass mosaics, graceful metalwork, Favrile glass vases, custom furniture, intricate plaster work, elaborate stained-glass windows, and unexpected architectural flourishes that all work together to create a cohesive masterpiece. First floor open to public 2:30pm - 5:30pm. Guided tours of additional spaces at 3pm and 4pm
