A hidden architectural gem in the heart of Central Square, the original wooden church was built in 1867 in a style a reminiscent of an English village chapel. By the late 1920s membership had grown so much that, in 1932, the parish extensively remodeled and enlarged the building. Inside, the light-filled sanctuary is graced by a vaulted ceiling and stained glass memorial windows, including a magnificent creation from Boston’s Connick Studios. Go on a self-guided tour with leaflet in hand, learn the history of each memorial window, and chat with knowledgeable volunteers.
