The Boston Public Market is an indoor, year-round marketplace for locally sourced groceries and specialty agricultural products from 40 New England farmers, fishers, and food entrepreneurs. The market is a public-private partnership between the nonprofit Boston Public Market Association, individual donors, the City, and the Commonwealth. Part of Boston’s emerging market district, the market shares 100 Hanover Street with the Boston RMV, Haymarket MBTA station, and vent stacks for the I-93 tunnel. Designed by public space architecture firm ArchiTerra, the Boston Public Market is LEED Silver certified. It opened on July 30, 2015 and has welcomed over 3 million visitors to date. Tours of the market's sustainable design elements will leave from the Info Desk on the hour during the following periods: Saturday 9am-11am + 2pm-6pm and Sunday 10am-4pm
